AutoCAD 2025
With this release, we are happy to announce compatibility with AutoCAD 2025 products. If you are still working on 2024 or older versions, don't worry: we will continue to support those, too.
DC Main and String Cabling
A central inverter electrical system is predominantly composed of DC distribution. DC main or trunk cables run to DC combiners and harnesses.
Now, our cabling tool allows more flexibility for the DC cabling on central inverters. With this release, it is now possible to generate DC main and DC string cabling separately. You can set entirely different cable depths or heights, separations, and trench lines for the two different cabling generations.
AC and DC cabling will remain the options for string inverter-based electrical designs.
Where
In Electrical Design, under Cabling, with Central Inverter-based systems type selected.
How
In the dropdown, choose DC main or DC string cabling. Change the settings and hit Generate to run the cabling.
Project Details View Shows Sun Angle
Recently, we introduced the Project Details View, which allows you to save a useful side view of the framework in your drawing. By popular demand, this side view now includes details of the shading angle between the frames on Fixed tilt arrays.
The dimension elements in this view are based on your default AutoCAD style. You can easily make changes by updating the style. Alternatively, ungroup the Project Details View to change the layout, and edit the location of the dimensions. Full flexibility!
