The PVcase team introduces the direct integration between AO Prospect and PVcase Ground Mount to streamline your design development process. This integration will help users increase time efficiency and design accuracy by eliminating manual work that would potentially contain human and data errors.
Exporting sites from AO to PVcase
Users can import AO assets into Ground Mount using the PVcase Export feature.
Parcels analyzed using the Buildable Area Analysis feature will have high-resolution terrain data when enabling the Export Terrain Data selection (this is turned ON by default). Users have the option to export up to 30 parcels with topographic data (see more on how to run Buildable Area Analysis here).
Once the export is completed, the user will get a file in the .pvsdz format
Importing sites to PVcase
Users must ensure the selected units match between the AutoCAD file and PVcase.
Starting from PVcase version 2.37.1.25, users will have the option to import AO data in PVcase.
After importing
Once the .pvsdz file is imported, users will be prompted to confirm the project location:

Yes: If the user wants to use the KML location and coordinate system (UTM)

No: If the user wants to keep their current geolocation settings (UTM or NAD)
If users performed Slope Buildable Analysis within AO prior and exported it with the terrain data, PVcase will automatically use AO terrain data and display it will be displayed in the layout generation setting as PVcase GeoTIFF Terrain.
Suppose users did not perform the Slope Buildable Analysis within AO. In that case, they’ll have an option to obtain the terrain data via PVcase Online Import Terrain, select the user’s provided terrain data, or without topographic data.
If users create any setbacks using AO's buildable analysis, the offset polylines will be assigned to PVcase hazard layers automatically.
Users can continue their design workflow as usual in PVcase Ground Mount.
