SLD for HV components
To add to the functionality of our SLD, we can now create the HV part. This is rendered separately to show the relationship between the HV devices. The order of device connection is accurately shown in the SLD.
Where
In Electrical Design, under Electrical Devices Overview, click Full SLD.
Alternatively, right-click on the Device and select "export SLD for this device." A smaller SLD showing only the selected device tree will be rendered.
How
Click in the model space to place the SLD.
Combiners display
To make things clearer, we harmonized the display of the AC and DC combiners. Now the same symbol is used throughout the tool. We based the icon on the IEC standard symbol for combiners.
Where
In Electrical Design interface, SLD, and devices in the model space.
How
Using your Mk1 Eyeball (not included), observe the new electrical design objects.
Electrical Trench Section View update
Based on user feedback, we made the section view simpler. It no longer takes into account the 3d position of the cables with respect to terrain but rather presents a diagram of the cable layout. We also decluttered the view by moving the dimensions to the outside.
Where
Using Electrical Design, Cabling, enable Cable Separation and choose "Export cross section."
How
Choose the trench location for which you would like to generate a cross section view. Next, click in the model space where you would like the view to be placed.
Layout Information Updates
Two new updates to the Layout Information tab:
-
Show Cut and Fill amounts in Layout Information. You will be able to see the breakdown of Ground grading results for each field. Simply click on the cog to change the visibility of the different columns on the table.
-
Export Layout Information to model space. You can paste the table, as displayed, into your model.
Trunk Cabling now with Load Break Disconnectors
We heard your feedback on the trunk cabling implementation. In this update, a Load break device is also generated, and is shown as a DC Combiner with one input and one output. The work flow remains the same, with the only change being that the DC Combiner is placed on the DC connected frame closest to the Central inverter. In practice it looks like this:
In this example there are four frames with four DC harnesses connecting with four IPCs to the Trunk cable. The Trunk Cable joins to the DC combiner (disconnector) on the left. From there, DC Main cable runs back to the Central inverter.
Minor Updates and Fixes
-
For Dual Row tracker, show the motor or non-motor status of each Frame on the Piling Information BOM export.
-
Cables with separation disabled will not be rendered as 3d polylines. As before, they will be generated as 2d polylines.
-
When exporting to Yield, you can modify the Layout name for easier design management in Yield.
-
Fix Terrain restrictions problem causing issues with nested/islanded offset zones. This will allow you to have multiple levels of offsets inside each other.
-
You can change the Layout name on the Layout Information tab.
-
Electrical cabling settings are saved for each cabling type.
-
When showing piles, a Point object is now shown at the centre of each pile.
-
When generating PV layout or shading for the default location of Kaunas, you will be prompted to change the location, for accurate shading calculation.
-
Corridors for East West framework.
