Cabling interface update
We made some changes to the electrical cabling interface. Now it not only looks better, but it has a better flow. You can work down the page to get to the goal of generating cabling.
In addition, we added some new valuable parts:
-
Indicate trench - selects the already chosen trenchlines, so it is clear what you will be using for the cable generation.
-
Cable above or below ground - set whether the cables are generated in the air or in the ground.
Where
In Electrical Design, go to Cabling
How
The more intuitive interface will guide you through the process of selecting the trenchlines, selecting the cable type, adding separation as required, and generating the cable.
Electrical component labeling
For total customization of all electrical labels, we opened up the label management for devices. In addition, it is now possible to modify the label of the Transformer / Central Inverter.
Where
In Electrical Design, under Electrical devices, open the Labelling interface.
How
As with the Strings, click on any part of the label to edit it. You can also change the order and turn on and off the components of the label. The Transformer / Central Inverter label prefix can also now be edited.
Swap string polarity after designing
After completing the electrical design and adding all labels and devices, you may have noticed a string or two with the polarity around the wrong way. Fret not! Help is at hand.
Where
Select the affected strings and right-click.
How
Right-click on the affected strings, go to the PVcase menu and reverse the polarity.
Consistent Alignment
There needed to be more consistency across the commands, when asking you to specify the alignment line. So we updated all commands to follow the same process. Hopefully, this will reduce cognitive dissonance and allow your workflow to proceed more smoothly across different commands in the software.
Where
Any command requiring an alignment line.
How
After the command asks you to specify the alignment line, you can select an existing object or press ENTER and draw a new one.
