Convert to PVcase from PVsol file
We’re introducing support for the conversion of roofs, roof shading objects, and modules (flush mount only) from PVsol files. If you collaborate with others who do preliminary design with PVsol and would like to reuse their work in AutoCAD, you can now upload the PVsol file (.pvprj) to Roof Mount and use our Convert to PVcase feature.
How does it work?
- Open Convert to PVcase modal in the ribbon menu
- Select PVsol from the dropdown
- Upload the .pvprj file you wish to convert
- Set up the conversion settings and convert roofs and shading objects

Improvements
String assignment logic update
Previously, assigning strings to inverters with MPPTs enabled could lead to improper distribution where all strings are assigned to a single inverter, leaving others empty and some strings unassigned to any MPPT (as illustrated below).
The system will now only assign compatible strings and notify you if no suitable inputs are available, preventing any assignment. This ensures that strings are distributed evenly across available inverters or that you know when no compatible assignments can be made.
Additional options for Induction Loop On selection
To enable more cabling route customization, you will now find 5 options for Induction Loop On:
- Any polarity: Same as the original default option; no polarity adjustment, shortest connection route Roof Mount finds.
- Shortest as -: Closest end must be negative (-), string end polarity is automatically adjusted.
- Shortest as +: Closest end must be positive (+), string end polarity is automatically adjusted.
- Always -: Connect to negative (-) string ends regardless of whether the connection route is the shortest or not.
- Always +: Connect to positive (+) string ends regardless of whether the connection route is the shortest or not.
