PVcase Roof Mount offers powerful features for analyzing system performance, comparing layouts, generating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and integrating with PVsyst. You'll find these functionalities organized under the Actions menu and the Tools menu of the ribbon.
Actions
The Actions menu provides the following functionalities:
- Shading Analysis, to evaluate the impact of near shading on your roof to optimize panel placement and boost energy output.
Irradiance data analysis: You can display yearly shading loss and in-plane irradiation values, and filter modules based on specific ranges.
Shading projection: You can display real-time shade projections generated by objects at a specific location, date, and time.
- Energy Simulation, to estimate your rooftop system's performance early in the design phase. You can run preliminary energy simulations directly in PVcase Roof Mount to understand energy yield early on.
- Export to PVsyst, to export data directly to PVsyst, avoiding manual entry and errors. You can export each module as an individual frame (Export by modules) or export modules grouped by row (Export by groups. Then you can import the exported .PVC file into PVsyst for further analysis.
- Export/Import settings, to easily reuse any component settings from any project.
Tools
In the Tools menu, you will find the Layout information window. It allows you to easily determine your layout's capacity and compare various layout options. You can generate a comprehensive project summary for analysis, reporting, and procurement.
The remaining articles of this section will explore further each of these features, providing instructions and tips for their optimal use in your PVcase projects.
