Improvements
.MET file upload option
We have added a new option to the Meteo data source modal: MET file. You can now upload MET files directly alongside CSVs.
- Location: You will see this option in the Change data source modal, under the CSV and MET files section.
- Transparency: The specific meteo data source used will now be clearly indicated on both the results page and the PDF export.
Enhanced frames raising logic
We have improved the logic for layouts with clipped frames to streamline your workflow.
- Automation: When a layout from PVcase Ground Mount is uploaded with frames clipped by the terrain, Yield now automatically raises them. This eliminates the previous requirement to manually click a button to fix them.
- Notification: Upon upload, you will see the following confirmation: "The uploaded layout has frames clipped by the terrain. The frames have been raised to prevent unexpected calculation results due to unrealistic shading."
Automatic CSV coordinate application
We have updated the default behavior for CSV meteo inputs to ensure location accuracy.
- The change: If the coordinates in an uploaded meteo CSV file are different from the existing project coordinates, Yield will now automatically update the project coordinates to match those in the meteo file.
- The benefit: This resolves critical issues where users occasionally missed the prompt to update coordinates, ensuring simulation results are always based on the correct geographical data.
Simulation speed improvements
We have updated our cloud hardware infrastructure. You can now expect a 15% to 50% improvement in simulation speed, depending on project complexity.
New timeseries export column
We have added a new, non-optional column to the CSV export to improve data granularity.
- Column name:
Interval Start Time - Position: This is now the very first column in the timeseries output.
- Format:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS Timezone - Details: The data in this column corresponds to the date without time correction.
