See how you can Copy/Bulk copy objects from layer overlay directly onto your project map in PVcase Prospect, without any manual drawing.
Copy/save individual objects from a layer to the map
Copy and save an object from a map layer to the project map for future reference:
- Turn on the desired layer
- Click on an object in the layer that you wish to save to the project
- In the layer pop-up window, click the Copy button
This will copy the object geometry to the map and save it as a drawing for future reference.
If you want to change the style of the saved drawing, see how to change the style of a drawing/asset.
Bulk copy/save multiple objects from a layer to the map
Need to save many objects from a layer at once? Use the Select by Polygon functionality to make a selection on the map layer and filter/select objects to then copy (save) to the map.

- Click Select by Polygon > Saved Assets & Drawings > Features from a Layer
- Trace out selection area on the map using your cursor. Selected objects will appear in a data table.
- Filter the results using the Filter button on the right side of the table.
- Check the boxes next to the objects you wish to save. Alternatively, use the select all checkbox at the top to select all records within the selected area of the layer.
- Click Copy
Once saved to the map, these drawings can be exported in the KMZ export.
