New features

Separated East and West Modules

We improved our support for East-West systems, enabling you to create and use separate East or West modules. Previously, our East and West modules had to be tied together, thus roof areas were not fully optimized even when there was space for a single row/column of modules. Now, our algorithm can generate a single row/column of modules in tight areas.

Have individual East or West row or column automatically filled in during layout generation

In Layout settings, you will see a new option for allowing partial frames.

If you select No, Roof Mount will generate a layout where there is no single East or West row/column of modules. The layout will always comprise East and West frames.

If you select Yes, our algorithm will automatically fill in the tight areas that can only fit a single East or West row/column of modules. This ensures your rooftop area is optimized and can accommodate as many modules as possible.

Readjust individual East or West modules

With the East and West modules separated, you can now do more specific and accurate adjustments to your drawing by moving only one side of the East-West modules.

Flip the orientation (from East to West and vice versa) of individual modules

When generating partial frames, our algorithm will follow the alternating pattern: East, West, East, West and so on. Depending on your project’s environment, you may want to change the orientation of the modules.

You can now easily switch the orientation from East to West, or West to East. Here's how:

1. Select the modules
2. Right-click and click on Roof Mount
3. Click on Flip module azimuth

Use Convert to PVcase to convert modules into individual East and West modules

After this update, you can now use Convert to PVcase to convert East and West systems into separate modules.
