Pre-populated Component library

This new update delivers instant access to a vast, pre-populated library of modules and inverters, empowering you to kickstart your solar designs with unprecedented speed and flexibility.

How does it work? 

1. Head to Component Library in the ribbon menu
2. Depending on the component type you want to add, in Modules or Inverters tab, click Add from External Library

3. Type in keywords for the component(s) you are looking for

4. Use the filter to narrow down your results

5. Click in to each component to see more details

6. Click on Save to My Library, to start using the component for your designs

When the components are added to your own library, you can find them in the module or inverter drop-down throughout the product.

Improvements

New look for our Electrical design tab

Experience a re-imagined electrical design workflow in PVcase Roof Mount. This enhancement delivers a simplified interface with clear flow guidance and granular control over cabling, empowering you to design larger, more complex projects with unmatched precision and ease.

Simplified Design Process

A more intuitive and guided flow drastically reduces the learning curve, making detailed electrical design accessible and efficient for everyone.

• Increased precision in cabling: Gain exact control over cable paths and tray assignments, ensuring highly accurate and optimized electrical layouts. As an upgrade from our semi-automated cabling feature before, now you have greater control by using the Manual option.
• Richer electrical information: Access detailed, real-time data to support your design decisions, including DC/AC ratio per inverter and for the entire system, and the number of unassigned strings.
• Design of bigger, more complex projects: The enhanced control and streamlined interface empower you to confidently tackle larger and more intricate electrical designs. For example, generate cabling by inverter to ensure accuracy for a specific area of the roof before moving on.

Add PV area feature added to Roof builder

In Roof builder, you can now find the Custom PV area tool. This gives you more control in layout generation by creating micro areas for our software to generate modules on. Every PV area would apply layout settings separately.

Minor updates & bug fixes

• You can now align modules by roof edges instead of with parapets.
• You can now choose to align flush systems to roof edges.
• We added support for 3D solid conversions in Convert to PVcase.
