New features
Roof Mount Audit tool
Making changes to a drawing without the plug-in open may cause issues that hinder the smooth progress of the project. The Roof Mount Audit tool allows to autonomously inspect files for such issues.
How does it work?Â
Type the command PVCASERMAUDIT in any open Roof Mount project to open an interactive window with options for roofs, modules and strings.
The Audit tool is able to identify duplicated or misplaced objects, modules and roofs within the project. Once the issue is found, it will be highlighted in the drawing. For example, as in the image below:

Improvements
Integrated skylights
Previously, skylights required to have a minimum height above 0 inserted to be placed on the roof; however, this did not cover all real life scenarios.Â
Now the software allows setting the skylight height to 0, allowing the skylights to be completely flush with the roof.
Custom stringing precision drawing
Previously, there were two types of custom stringing available. Both daisy-chain and leapfrog types auto-adjust to look tidy after manually drawing the string on the modules.Â
Now we've introduced a third option: As drawn. This option provides complete control and precision over how strings are placed on modules.Â
Hide layout information improvements
Previously, turning off an area in layout information only froze and hid modules.Â
Now, additional layout-related elements will also be hidden, including:
- Strings
- Cables
- Optimizers
- Color hatches
- String labels
Layout information column management
Layout information window provides a detailed table of information on selected areas with modules in place. However, this table was always static and didn’t allow any customization. Now, we've introduced the possibility to hide unnecessary columns and manage the window according to specific needs.Â
Â
Minor updates & bug fixes
- Added import/export design settings and corridor settings options
- Flush Mount module azimuths are now reported in BoM
- Skylights are printed perpendicular to the roof
