Planarize roof option to smoothen roof surfaces
Uneven roof surfaces, known as non-planar, can cause problems such as modules being placed at varying tilts. This can result in unrealistic visual representations and stringing complications.
In this version, we've adjusted the algorithm of our Assign slope functionality to reduce the chances of non-planar roof surfaces being created.Â
In addition to these algorithm changes, we also added a Planarize roof function to the context menu.Â
You can use this function to have the software correct uneven surfaces (see before and after images below).Â
Currently it supports surfaces with one ridge, but we’re planning to include more scenarios in future releases.Â

Roof builder health check to warn you of uneven roof surfaces
The Roof builder now includes a health check feature that offers enhanced visibility into potential issues caused by non-planar roof surfaces. Our Roof builder is extremely flexible but that flexibility could lead to uneven (non-planar) issues if you create ridges or slopes incorrectly.
The Roof health section will show you how many surfaces there are for your building(s) and how many need your attention. You can click on Highlight to show the specified surface.Â
If you need assistance adjusting the surface, you can right-click, go to Roof Mount and click Planarize roof.

On/Off option to align rows between PV areas
In Layout settings , a new On/Off option has been added. This gives you more design control over how you would like our algorithm to generate modules for your various PV areas.
If you prefer a cleaner and more organized arrangement, you can turn on the option of Align rows between PV areas. The software will then ensure the corridor spacings are arranged in the same way for the multiple selected PV areas.
If you are looking to maximize the PV area, you can turn this option off.

Informational tooltips for Roof Mount elements
To help you easily find Roof Mount elements and see their details while you design, you can now turn the Informational tooltips on, in the Settings menu.
