Search for land by running a parcel search within a custom Area of Interest (AOI) defined by a KML or KMZ polygon in PVcase Prospect. This feature enables you to identify and review parcels that fall inside the boundaries of your imported AOI polygon.
Drag and drop KML/KMZ file over the project map
- Locate the KML or KMZ file in your file directory or on your desktop (if it's still in Google Earth, make sure to export it)
- Drag and drop the file over the project map
- An asset import table will pop up. Click the checkbox to select all or apply a filter first to add a subset of data to your project.
- Turn off the unsaved layer in the layer catalog by unchecking the checkbox
Run a parcel search to pull in parcels within the AOI polygon
- Click on the polygon drawing on the map
- In the pop-up window, click on See Actions and then Find Parcels within Polygon
- Input Min Acres (per parcel). If you'd like to add every parcel regardless of acreage, input 0.
- Optional: Check the Contiguous Land with Same Owner box
- Click Search
- Click Run
Now all the individual parcels will be saved to the project map within the AOI.
