Combine multiple polygons into a new single polygon using different methods available in PVcase Prospect. This article serves as an entry point to the specific guide in each case.
Ways you can combine polygons
- Use the Union of geometry tool to create a new polygon that combines the total area of separate polygons
- Use the Intersection of geometry tool to create a polygon out of just the areas that intersect between multiple polygons (like the middle of a Venn Diagram). You can also do that with custom polygons.
-
Use the Composite geometry tool to subtract one polygon from another
Types of polygons you can combine
- Custom drawn polygons using the drawing tools
- Buffer polygons created through the Create a Buffer tool or the Combo Buffer tool
- Polygons that have been copied from layers
- Polygons that are imported from a KMZ
