Place predefined icons and symbols onto the map for enhanced project visualization.
Overview
PVcase Prospect offers a selection of built-in icons and symbols that you can add to your map. These visual markers make it easier to highlight, organize, and communicate key site details with your project team.
Mark the map with these symbols and icons to denote real-world features and other important areas to flag.
Use Drawing Tools to mark a feature's location
- From the project or asset detail map, click on the Map Tools button
- Select Draw / Add Marker
- Click on the marker (pin icon)
- Use your cursor to drop the marker/pin on the map
- Turn off the Draw / Add Marker function: click the marker/pin icon again in the toolbar, or select the hand icon.
Creating a point is a method to find Lat/Long coordinates anywhere on the map.
Change icon/symbol
You can change the icon/symbology used for the marker to one of many additional options.
- Click on the marker
- In the pop up window, click the Create button
- In the dropdown menu, select one of the other drawing symbols
As an example, the Point of Interconnection icon also gives you access to save details about the POI. If desired, you can mark points of interconnection and log notes and other details.
- Click the pencil edit icon
- Fill out details and click the Update button
