Use the Google street view feature to explore roads and visually inspect nearby transmission or distribution lines, helping confirm their location and assess equipment details such as pole type and condition.
Check out parcels and grid infrastructure from the ground
- On any map in the platform, click on the Google street view icon (yellow person) in the bottom right-corner of the map.
- Drag the icon over the map to highlight the streets with available Street View imagery
- Drop the icon onto the desired location.
Google Street View will appear in the map where you drop the icon. You can move around to check out grid infrastructure, etc. There is also a map inset to keep track of where you are on the map.
Drag the cursor around screen to change the angle/direction view. Click to move forward along the road.
Exit Google street view
Click the arrow on the top left of the map to exit street view when search is completed.
